Yes — renewal is the easiest moment to add or drop add-ons, change excess, or adjust mileage.
Renewal is the easiest point to restructure cover because the broker re-quotes everything fresh. Things you can change at renewal without a mid-term admin fee:
- Voluntary excess — raising it usually cuts the premium
- Annual mileage
- Add-ons — add, drop, or upgrade tiers
- Cover level — third-party only to comprehensive, and so on
- Named drivers
