Can I change cover at renewal?
Yes — renewal is the easiest moment to add or drop add-ons, change excess, or adjust mileage.
At renewal, ask your broker about the changes available for your policy. Acceptance, premium changes and any charges depend on the provider. Options to discuss include:
- Voluntary excess — check the amount you would have to pay towards a claim
- Annual mileage
- Add-ons — add, drop, or upgrade tiers
- Cover level — third-party only to comprehensive, and so on
- Named drivers
