Change of licence type

Provisional to full UK licence, or foreign licence to UK — update from Manage policy.

Need to update your licence type? You can do this quickly and securely through My Portal.

📱How to update

  1. Log in to My Portal Open the app and sign in.
  2. Choose your policy From the Policy tab.
  3. Tap Manage Policy at the bottom Then select Licence Type.
  4. Enter the new licence details You'll usually receive an instant quote. If not, a phone number will appear so you can speak to our team.

💷What will it cost?

  • Admin fee: £45
  • Premium: may increase, decrease or stay the same, depending on the new licence type

Any change in cost is shown before you confirm. If your premium goes down, you'll receive a refund or lower monthly payments.
